"Jump Into Math In Grade Three"

Jump Into Math In Grade Three is a comprehensive math book that includes 312 reproducible worksheets and teaching pages, long range plans, term-by-term student checklists, 10 unit tests and 4 problem-solving sample units to help students prepare for provincial testing.

In this math book, all five strands are covered monthly.  Most topics are spread out over a three month period.  This allows students time to internalize what they are learning and to master skills.

In the teacher's guide, clear expectations are outlined and practical, classroom-tested ideas are provided.  It is strongly suggested that teachers follow a three-step lesson plan:

1.  Hands-on activities using concrete materials,

2.  A chart or board activity to model the skills involved,

3.  A worksheet activity for each student.

This book is organized so that each month builds on the last.  Where possible, topics from different strands are integrated.  Many of the graphics have been specifically chosen to integrate math with other areas of the Grade Three curriculum.
