I have deliberately planned a variety of activity sheets to help you plan for a range of learners. Each worksheet has been carefully organized to provide the teacher with a clear direction when planning the lesson of the day. Each month, all five strands are covered in this rotation:

Each new month builds on the last, with major topics such as 3-D Solids taught each month over a term. I have used lots of graphics to stimulate your students' interest and have matched the graphics to seasons, holidays and special themes such as animals and birds. Children who have used this material have been delighted by the graphics and layout, as have their teachers. Each page has a notation at the bottom as to strand and topic.

The new math curriculum for Grade One is very heavy as you well know. But I have found ways to integrate the strands and increase learning. For instance, while studying 3-D Solids in Geometry, students also graph them in Data Management And Probability.

I planned two worksheets for teachers to choose from daily, but by making your own workbooks, you can choose what your students need and how much material they can cover each day.
