| Hello!! My name is Karen Anderson. For most of my thirty-two year career I taught Grade One and Two. Over the years I was always on the lookout for programs that would help my students learn more effectively and save preparation time. But it was very difficult to find resources that met my students needs, so, more often than not, I ended up making my own material. "Jump Into Learning Reproducibles" are programs based on my experience as a primary teacher. We provide reproducible books for primary students -- specifically Grade One and Two. However, several books such as the Author Studies and The Green Dragon Club have material suitable for students up to Grade Three. These reproducible books are based on strategies Ive used successfully for many years. They will save hours of preparation time for both teachers or parents. These programs meet or surpass most government guidelines and are an excellent resource for primary teachers.
My Jump Into Products . . . Social

There are three healthy units, eight social studies units, and five science units in this book. This reproducible book comprises a complete program for Grade Three social studies, science and health. It contains 525 pages and provides at least one major topic from each subject area per term. There are six major social studies units, five major science units and three major health units--all meeting or surpassing ministry guidelines. Read: An Alphabet Pattern Book " This reproducible pattern book is a modified version of “Grade One...Day Two...Now What Do I Do?” and is designed to be used with Kindergarten students, level one Grade One students or special needs students with language delays. With Kindergarten students, the teacher might introduce one letter unit a week starting in late November. The purpose of this program is to develop sound/letter association and early literacy skills with young students. The guide will provide teachers with some implementation ideas; however, teachers might modify or use this program in different ways to suit the needs of their own students. Hopefully, by providing early literacy skills at the Kindergarten level, students will approach the beginning reading process with more skills and more confidence. "Jump
Into Reading Skills In Grade One" This Grade One reading skills book has 213 reproducible worksheets covering four of the Grade One reading strands. The other reading strand (Understanding of Form and Style) is one that should be covered each day orally as each new story is introduced. Included in this book are long range plans, term by term student checklists, vocabulary lists by term, 17 teaching pages, 30 units and 12 end of unit tests. "Jump Into
Math In Grade Three" This reproducible math book contains 312 pages of work sheets and teaching pages that meet ministry curriculum expectation. "Jump Into Math In Grade Three" also includes long range plans, term-by-term student checklists, 10 unit tests and 4 problem-solving sample units to help students prepare for the Grade Three provincial testing. "Jump
Into Spelling, Phonics And Grammar In Grade Two" This reproducible book has 315 pages. It contains 36 units of spelling, phonics, word study, punctuation and grammar worksheets that meet ministry guidelines. The spelling words have been carefully chosen. While most of the spelling words used in this book are ones that reflect a Grade Two level, a few are words used in Grade One and some are words commonly taught in Grade Three. "Jump
into KinderMath" Jump into KinderMath is a reproducible book with 240 pages covering all five math strands. With this reproducible book, teachers can make their own set of student workbooks that will suit the needs of their students. "Jump into KinderMath" can be used with Kindergarten, Grade One (level one) or special needs students. "Jump
Into Math in Grade Two" is a reproducible book of 320 pages. It covers all five math strands monthly and includes long range plans, 12 tests and a term by term individual student checklist for reporting purposes. This book is a follow up to "Jump into Math in Grade One." These two math programs match ministry guidelines. They will suit the needs of your students and will save you countless hours of your prep time. "The Green
Dragon Club" Anger Management Program "The Green Dragon Club" is a behaviour improvement program that teachers and parents can use with young students. This program uses a problem solving approach to improve daily behaviour. Students learn to talk through problems that occur in the class, in the school and outside. When dealing with young children, it is very important that teachers and parents be consistent as to expectations and consequences. Jump Into Math In
Grade One "Jump Into Math In Grade One" is a new reproducible math book that covers all five strands and has over 376 reproducible pages! With this book you'll never have to order workbooks again. You can make your own set of workbooks for you students, or you can make workbooks to suit different groups in your class or you can make individual workbooks to suit the specific needs of individual students. I have deliberately planned a variety of activity sheets to help you plan for a range of learners. I've also included 12 unit tests in addition to the term by term checklists in the short guide section.
Social Studies, Science And Health In Grade One This reproducible book of 420 pages provides a complete program for Grade One social studies, science and health. It includes an overview of the year, complete long range plans by subject, term-by-term student checklists and an evaluation sheet that can be used with all units. This book contains 20 units: 9 social studies units, 5 major science units, and 6 health units --- all meeting or surpassing ministry guidelines. Each unit is self-contained and includes: a title page, brainstorming pages, teaching pictures and student activity pages. The brainstorming/teaching pages provide a model for the teacher when planning and organizing the guided and shared portions of the daily lessons. The student activity pages provide ample opportunity for independent study for all levels of learners. Early Literacy:
Beginning To Read "Early Literacy: Beginning To Read" is a language program that teaches the basic reading and phonetic skills children need in order to begin to read. This is a revised version of "Grade One . . . Day Two . . ." It is based on the language program I’ve developed during my thirty years as a primary teacher. I’ve tried to include practical ideas and materials that a teacher can use immediately in the classroom. I hope this program will help other teachers introduce young children to the joy of learning how to read and write. Jump Into
Phonics This reproducible book is a comprehensive phonics programme for Grade One. It reviews all the consonants and short vowels but moves beyond recognition of sound/letter association to identifying the letters and sounds. It also provides many drill activities to apply basic phonics skills. This book will also help to address a growing concern among primary teachers. Many children entering school have delayed language problems or have weak vocabulary knowledge. "Jump into Phonics" is designed to assist the classroom teacher in addressing these concerns. Many of the illustrations are familiar to most children; however, some illustrations have been deliberately included to enhance vocabulary knowledge and stimulate discussion. In addition, many items such as computers, microscopes and video cameras have been included to increase a student’s awareness of technology Jump Into
Printing Jump into Printing is an illustrated reproducible printing program to introduce basic printing skills. This reproducible book provides printing practise for every letter of the alphabet. In many instances, I hand-made the font to model letter formation that easily leads into beginning writing skills. On each page, I model the upper and lower case letters, as well as a sample word, so students can learn about proper spacing between letters and words. I illustrated the pictures so the programme also reviews basic phonics skills. This programme works very well with Kindergarten or Grade One students. Jump Into Drama Jump into Drama is a collection of five short ORIGINAL plays that can be adapted for any primary classroom. Every year I write a play with my students to present to their parents and friends. I videotape the play so the students can see how they perform. Then, just before they graduate from Grade Eight, I show it to them again. Its always a special reminder of good times shared. Students new to the Grade Eight class really enjoy seeing their friends as they were in Grade One. This reproducible book (250 pages) contains fifteen units that teachers might use with students who are reading with some independence (usually around the last term of Grade One to the first term of Grade Two). This book provides teachers with an opportunity to introduce their students to genre and author studies. Students will read a story or book of choice then respond, in writing, to what they have read. By combining all three grade levels in one book, teachers can choose material that best suits the needs of their students. Each grade level has its own short guide as well as a detailed evaluation sheet.
